Cherry Trees Blossom, fritillary's pop out to play with Spring Fern unfurling fronds, it's like opening a Grimm's Novel and stepping right into a fairy tale

Woodlands awaken, and for a couple of weeks there, your eyes are struck by all the different shades of green suddenly available, a fresh spring palette to see, it sets off a chemical reaction in the brain, making you crouch down to greet the Bluebells, Something in the way you grab surrounding branches of Trees and their baby saplings, to interact with the wild, to bend the branch closer and greet the leaf bud forming.

It's a pulse with a rhythm you tune to. Some call it forest bathing, I call it being Human.

Let's not forget how bonkers we all go for tulips. There are some fantastic collections I am seeing about the place and online.

I've been very content hanging with mine now it's finally warm enough to have my morning coffee outside.

Yellow Mix Blend from JParkers.com &

Ballerina with Lasting Love

One of the later flowering Narcissus 'Sir Winston Churchill' gifted to me from a friend

A so sweetly scented you will want to sit next to them all day!

What's out now that I love - The Bride / Exochordax macrantha - deciduous pendulous woody shrub which packs a real punch of white blossom.

It's really exciting watching new foliage poke and pop through from perennials like Sanguisorba fresh to form another year.

My neighbours Cherry Tree greets the crescent, so it's a collective joy we town folk get to experience together. I'm going to guess its some kind of Prunus pink perfection

What's my favourite plant I've planted this month so far:

T-Rex 'Tetrapranax papyrifer' (more on these later in the year)

Coming up:

We have been pant planning a Kitchen Garden, planting up a Gigantic bank, planning a Zen garden, planning a Tropical Garden vibe with a couple more local plant up schemes helping my clients re-connect with their outdoor spaces.

What am I doing this month:

Starting Dahlias off! Pot - Tuber - fill to half the pot with compost and boom - watch your babies grow. Don't forget night time, torch snail and slug patrol! By the end of June you'll pot them into their bigger pots of your choice for your summer displays. YES that's really all there is to it!

Enjoy April, enjoy woodland walks, enjoy engaging with your local flora & fauna.

Go and buy some seeds and get sowing!

Love Katie GreenFingers1066

💚
